Overview

Every once in a while a curveball project comes along. While these can differ from each other, they usually require drawing an odd mix of skills. As complex as it may be, the challenge is always rewarding and a great source of learning and inspiration.

MoreEyes Production commissioned a miniature set for tarantulas. It was an excellent opportunity to combine my experience as an art director with one of my hobbies – model making.

The footage became the visuals for one of the tracks of Pendulum’s concert at Alexandra Palace in March 2023.

I built and weathered lots of elements, to create background scenes that could be easily adapted during production.

Materials and textures had to feel realistic and support the idea of these animals being enormous once on the massive LED walls. Here are some frames from the footage demonstrating the quality we achieved on camera.
